Administrative Assistant at International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Kano is looking for a qualified candidate with the capacity to work independently to fill in the below interesting position



Position: Administrative Assistant

Main Responsibilities:

Execute HR administrative tasks
Explain and apply financial, HR and other administrative procedures
Follow up and process payments (cash and bank)
Keep record of the expenses and prepare accounting documents
Keep inventory of equipment, furniture, material
Organize the maintenance and repair of office equipment
Make travel arrangements for staff
Handles local purchases in compliance with ICRC logistic procedures
Execute various secretarial works and keep the filing up-to-date (electronic and paper)





Required Qualifications:

University degree in business administration or equivalent
Knowledge of socio and economic environment of Kano
4 years work experience in a similar position
Good command of written and spoken English
Excellent computer skills

Team leadership and good communication skills
Ability to work independently and with a sense of initiative
Methodical person with common sense and rigour
Strong sense of responsibility and adaptability, able to work over time when needed
Very good knowledge of Kano and surroundings
