1. WELL PLANNER II (Job Number:1105488)
Primary Location: AFRICA-NIGERIA-NIGERIA-PORT HARCOURT
Role Synopsis
At Baker Hughes, this position is responsible for planning/re-planning wells in accordance with Baker Hughes policies and generating 3D plots and validate surveys on current wells under limited supervision. This position is a critical foundation for our contracts.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Under limited supervision, plan or re-plan wells as required.

Prepare initial planning for direction and horizontal wells.

Prepare anti-collision analysis using ellipses and tool errors model.

Input, calculate and validate surveys on a daily basis.

Generate a plan view and graphical presentation of the directional profile.

Support field personnel when required.

Complete end of month activity logs and end of well reports - actual versus proposed.

Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.


Basic Qualifications

Bsc in Engineering or Technical qualification or Associates Degree, and 1-3 years experience.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of directional drilling, horizontal drilling and well bore positioning survey.

Advanced PC skills.

Strong mathematical skills.

Strong problem solving skills.

Good communication skills – both verbal and written.

2. FIELD SPEC III - DRS (Job Number:1105200)
Primary Location: AFRICA-NIGERIA-NIGERIA-PORT HARCOURT

Role Synopsis
At Baker Hughes, this position is responsible for providing resolution of complex problems at the well site. This position is also responsible for maintaining internal and external customer contacts with a high degree of professionalism in order to maintain and grow the company’s status as the recognized leader within the oil service industry.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Under minimal supervision, provide resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the well site where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the product line's tool(s) and/or service.

Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met by the Field Supervisor.

Act as a project leader and mentor junior field engineers.

Maintain frequent intra-organizational and external customer contacts with a high degree of professionalism.

Execute other related duties as assigned.

Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Three years experience in oil field industry Industry experience and product line training required.


Desired/Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor Degree or Technical Degree preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of assigned Directional Systems services at the well site.

Successful completion of advanced technical training and assigned wellsite development programs.

Good mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work well and communicate well with others.
